Ride to the top of Gorelaya Hill as a driver or a passenger — with a panorama of Murmansk and the Kola Bay. At the summit: a photo session and stories about our land.

On the way — the ancient seids Vuazlesh piras keddyk (“Stones of a happy family”): huge boulders sacred to the Sami, the indigenous people of the Kola Peninsula. If you like, you can perform a small ritual for happiness in personal and family life.

We ride reliable, easy-to-handle STELS Kapitan snowmobiles (12 and 9.4 hp). Groups are small — 2 to 8 people. The evening route is on request (mention it in the booking comment): with good weather there is a chance to see the northern lights.

Boards come inflated and assembled — the water is a 300 m walk away

We rent out SUP boards by Gladiator, a premium brand and one of the leaders of the Russian market: reliable, made of quality materials and thoughtfully designed.

You get the board already inflated, with a paddle and the fin attached — just walk to the water. For rentals longer than a day we hand the board out folded in its bag.

For beginners — Gladiator ONE 10'8": stable, wide and forgiving, up to 135 kg. For experienced riders — Gladiator ORIGIN 12'6": a fast touring board for long trips and riding together, up to 120 kg.

There is a changing cabin and a toilet on site. Rentals come with an official contract. Open daily 12:00–20:00 in good weather — no strong wind or rain. Daily rental — by prior booking over the phone.

About us

Everything to make the North feel like home

Arctic Viraj is an active outdoor club and a young team that brings people vivid experiences of northern nature all year round.

In winter we run snowmobile tours to the top of Gorelaya Hill — with a detailed briefing, a practice ground, ancient Sami seids and tea by the campfire on reindeer skins. In summer we rent out Gladiator SUP boards at Lake Karyernoye.

Our instructors are professionals who love the North and their work. We are waiting for you from the polar night to the midnight sun — every season has its own story.

Do I need experience or a licence to drive a snowmobile? +
No. Before the start there is a detailed briefing and a practice run on the training ground, and the instructor stays close on the route. You can also ride as a passenger.
What should I wear? +
We provide the gear: warm boots, an overall, a helmet and gloves. Underneath, thermal underwear or comfortable warm clothes are best.
What is the minimum age? +
Children can ride as passengers with an adult. Please check the age and conditions with us by phone.
What if the weather turns bad? +
Safety comes first: in a heavy snowstorm or severe frost we will offer to move your tour to another day.
Can I rent a SUP board for a day? +
Yes: Gladiator ONE — 1,500 ₽ per day, Gladiator ORIGIN — 2,000 ₽. Daily rental is by prior booking over the phone; the board comes folded in its bag.
How big are the groups? +
From 2 to 8 people — so the instructor has time for everyone.
Are there any discounts? +
Yes, 10% for birthday guests and residents of the Murmansk region.
